A charge point runs on its own circuit — and not every fuse box still has room for one. A certified electrician extends the consumer unit, replaces an outdated box or converts the in-box installation from single-phase to three-phase. This is fuse-box work and therefore always a job for a certified electrician, delivered according to the applicable installation standards.
For extending or replacing the consumer unit you pay € 350 to € 950, depending on the state of the existing installation.
To be honest: upgrading the grid connection itself (for example from 1×25A to 3×25A) is done by the grid operator, with its own rates and lead time. The installer can apply for it with you, but it falls outside the installation quote.
